I’ve long used a cash-back program called Rakuten to get rebates on many of my online purchases, ranging anywhere from 1-15%. You can get a $40 bonus when you join using this link.
During the holidays Rakuten raises the cash back threshold, often by A LOT. Get 15% of your purchase returned to you at Target, Vitacost, and Macys as of this writing.
More recently I started using a browser extension called Honey that sometimes helps me get more than 20% back on my purchases at some stores.
When you look at a product, Honey will pop up an offer for a certain amount of cash back. Sometimes it’s better than Rakuten and sometimes not. I recommend having both installed and checking them whenever you shop online.
Honey will also tell you if there’s a better price at another site or about whether the price has changed recently.
